Dairy Innovation Australia Ltd. is supported by members of the Australian Dairy Industry. Our aim is to work together with our members to advance the Australian Dairy Industry as a whole through innovative dairy research.
Dairy Innovation Australia members together represent greater than 72% of the milk processed in Australia and 65% of all manufactured dairy products equal to 1.12 million tonnes.
Of these dairy products our members represent 61% cheese, 76% whey powder, 66% butter and 100% casein in the Australian Dairy market.
The growth and sustainability of the dairy industry relies on the ability of the manufacturing sector to be market leaders in a globally competitive environment. To achieve this members have made an initial investment of $15 million for the next 3 years in Dairy Innovation Australia. It is our aim to work together with our stakeholders in a pre-competitive space to advance the Australian dairy industry as a whole through innovative dairy research.
