Cultures Production

Dairy Innovation operates a culture production facility “Cultures Division” based at 180 Princes Highway Werribee, that supplies dairy companies with specialised and bulk cheese cultures we aim to expand our role as a supplier of niche, specialist cultures for a wider range of applications. The production facilities are supported by ISO accredited quality control and assurance programs.

Dairy Innovation Australia is the only independent supplier of frozen-bulk set cultures to the majority of Australia´s largest cheese manufacturers. It has significant intellectual property in starter and phage libraries that are used to continuously develop maintain and improve these cultures. Knowledge and outcomes from research projects, in particular those conducted in the Cheese and Cultured products portfolio, are used to support continuous improvement and product development for DIAL´s culture products
